Our plan is to delve deep into the mysterious age of castles and kingdoms, princes and princesses. The stuff of which fairy tales are made! Then we will explore the historical changes that occurred from the middle ages through the Renaissance. We use the "immersion" method of history, utilizing costumes, plays, food, readings, games, books, puppets, pictures, crafts, music, and language to get a deeper understanding of the people and times we are studying. We will use the Story of the World curriculum (unless Vol. 3 of the Connecting with History curriculum is completed in time for our use) supplemented with many good books, Catholic and otherwise. We also enjoy frequent field trips together!
